Political Entertainment

Today one more shoe was hurled at one more MP.
A retired school teacher hurled a shoe at Congress MP Naveen Jindal at Kurukshetra. A couple of days back our Hon.Home Minister Mr.Chidambaram got the treat at a press conference by a journalist. Looks like this is becoming a trend in today's politics. (I was thinking, if I start a business of manufacturing shoes, the business would be very profitable in this recession!)
I think, we can also call this one more gift to the world from President Bush besides recession! Indians are learning very fast from that incident of shoe-slinging at Baghdad.
The shoe that Jarnail Sigh hurled at P. Chidambaram, missed him, but has hit Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar, who lost their Lok Sabha tickets.
I don't blame Sikhs. Almost 25000 Sikhs were killed in the riots that followed Indira Gandhi's death in 1985 & they have waited long enough for the justice to be done, which has been denied them.
Not that, I don't condemn the incident that happened with Mr.Chidambaram, I respect him as a person, whatever his party's policies may be! But still it makes me wonder, don't these politicians deserve this??
But then I think, we are to blame here, who vote for such leaders; whose policy is to divide & rule! & in India, many literate people do not go for voting! Their excuse is, what difference would one vote make? They do not understand value of their votes. In the last election of Gujarat, a candidate won by only one vote, read again, ONE vote!! I always say, if you do not vote, you do not have right to complain against our country's system!
I always have an argument with a friend of mine, who does not take interest in current affairs, politics bore her, she likes imaginary world of TV soaps, but does not acknowledge true world's incidents! So far, I have not been able to convince her to go for voting & God knows, I have convinced many people!
Nowadays I find news channels, the most entertaining TV channels in India,  I like to hear, what Laloo Prasad Yadav said against Varun Gandhi, what Advani said against Manmohan Singh, whom Sharad Pawar has joined in the hope to become PM; why Amar Singh is angry & so on. Believe me, they are the most entertaining news on Indian TV today! In the morning, one leader is saying something against some political party & in the evening he has joined hands with the same one!
Can you blame me? Now when that shoe was hurled at Mr. P. Chidambaram, I wished that it should have been Mayawati in place of Shri Chidambaram & next day what I hear? Mayawati was so scared of the incident that she ordered to move the seats of journalists back by 20 feet!
Does this month of April have any significance for this election?
Whatever the outcome of this election, I know that our India is going to flourish. No one can stop that!
